Since 1967, Near North Development Corporation has been a cornerstone of community development in Chicago’s Near North Side. We believe in the power of education, affordable housing, and community engagement to transform lives.

Through the TRIO Educational Talent Search (ETS) program, NNDC empowers students and families with guidance, resources, and support to pursue higher education. From college prep to career planning, we’re helping create pathways to brighter futures for North Town residents.
NNDC has proudly developed and managed over 369 units of affordable housing, including Evergreen Towers, Evergreen Terrace, and other landmark projects. Our mission is to preserve and expand quality housing options that stabilize the neighborhood and foster an inclusive, thriving community.
From improving schools and supporting crime prevention to driving commercial revitalization, NNDC is committed to creating a thriving, inclusive, and integrated community where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.
